Module in focus: Stock and Order management

“A new employee is starting tomorrow; can a new workstation be set up? The paper has run out; can someone order some more? Where is the supply of extra pens? Have the mouse mats arrived yet? How many desk chairs are still in stock?” Few things are as annoying as going without the items that are essential for working.

Managing chaos

Keeping track of stock is a dynamic process - you’re often running around frantically. Sometimes at the very last minute, another load of items needs to be delivered to guarantee the service level. At other times, you notice that several orders are outstanding at different suppliers or that two people have placed the same order. Often there is simply not enough paper in stock. These are just some possible scenarios, which may leave you wondering whether all the stress is really necessary.

Quick and in control

Via a streamlined request route, the stock can be processed and managed quickly and meticulously.  As a result, not only will the stock manager be able to work better, but also shortages can be prevented and the organisation can run more smoothly. In an ideal world, unauthorised order requests would simply be filtered out and a workstation for a new employee could be set up upon one request of the team leader. PCs, monitors, desk chairs and telephones can then either be delivered from the stock or ordered from the various suppliers.

Possibilities

The Stock and Order management module for TOPdesk Enterprise enables you to keep a close track of both your suppliers and the items they offer. You can easily follow the status of your stock and which orders still need to be processed. Other possibilities within the Stock and Order management module include processing order requests, placing orders with various suppliers, keeping track of your (safety) stock and defining items in detail. We have strived to develop as complete a module as possible for you, which is both easy to manage and complies entirely with your wishes with regard to stock and orders.
