Frequently Asked Questions

TOPdesk Professional 3? Or TOPdesk Enterprise 4?

An important difference between TOPdesk Professional 3 and TOPdesk Enterprise 4 is the environment in which the software functions. TOPdesk Professional 3 is designed for Microsoft® Windows, whereas TOPdesk Enterprise 4 is designed as a web interface and is therefore equipped for many different platforms. Another difference between the two products is the supported database standard. TOPdesk Professional 3 comes equipped with a Microsoft® FoxPro database. TOPdesk Enterprise 4 supports Oracle® and Microsoft® SQL, amongst others. Which TOPdesk version is suitable for your organization depends on the size of your organization and your requirements.

Won't I be sacrificing user-friendliness if I begin working with a web interface?

From an application manager's point of view, using a web application has many advantages. For instance the application is managed from a central point and local installations are no longer required. The end user also benefits from the use of a web interface; he or she can immediately begin working, regardless of the location. On the basis of the latest developments and newest technology our programmers and graphic designers have created a web interface to compete with every other interface. In order to further convince you of the benefits of TOPdesk Enterprise, we encourage you to try the TOPdesk web interface out for yourself.

Can TOPdesk Enterprise be further extended at a later stage?

As your organisation grows, the complexity and number of tasks for the service desk increases. You begin to expect other requirements from your Service management application. TOPdesk Enterprise can always be extended with new modules. The software will always comply with your wishes.
