Operations management
Certain
processes recur in every organisation. The preventative maintenance of
computers, the preparation of meeting rooms or the checking of back-ups
are examples of periodical processes. Using the Operations management
module you can manage all the operational tasks in your organisation.

Increase the reliability of your assetsThe activities that you describe in this module are (preventative) maintenance and general maintenance tasks. They therefore do not concern a malfunction in the IT infrastructure. By managing periodic tasks in your organisation with Operations management you can guarantee the reliability of your assets. Good management and maintenance minimises the number of malfunctions and in turn, the pressure on your service desk. |
Advantages
- Determine yourself which objects and aspects you wish to manage
- Gain insight into which objects are managed, who is responsible for the various tasks and how often and when the actions should take place
- Attention for operators via the To do list of tasks to be carried out
- Easily link with objects from Configuration management
- More than one task and underlying tasks possible per object
- Fewer incidents through preventative maintenance
Checklists
Using the Operations management module you can map all the maintenance and management tasks in the organisation. The work activities are recorded in so-called checklists. Via the link with Configuration management a checklist is always linked to one of your objects. A checklist can be both a one-off task and a periodic task.

Management and execution
Operations management distinguishes between the planning and execution of tasks. You initiate and plan and new straight-forward management routes. This is done in the Management card. You can use (self-defined) templates to do this. An operator responsible for carrying out the task needs to be assigned. Via the To do list operators can see the tasks that have been assigned to them. The To do list of the operator then automatically shows a notification.
