Stock and Order management
Every organization wants to maintain a structured overview of their stock and orders. This overview should indicate who has placed the order and where the ordered items should be delivered to. All these logistic operations can be both registered and monitored with the Stock and Order management module.

Insight into your stock and orders
Using Stock and Order management you gain clear insight into your stocks, current orders and order requests. It also shows who has made the request and where the ordered items should be delivered to. As operator you authorize the order requests, place orders and assign incoming items to stock or company assets.

Items and order requests
Each of the items in your organization is stored in an Item card. This collection of Item cards forms the database of items. For an order request, you can then select the relevant items from this database. An order request can be submitted by every user in your organization.
Via an order request you can register who places the order, which item needs to be ordered and on what date it is to be delivered. You then process the request and the item is ordered from the supplier. Current orders can be monitored via your to-do list. You assign incoming items to the user who placed the order.
It is also possible to request multiple items in a single order. When creating a new workplace, for example, you might want to request a desk, a desk chair, a computer and a monitor. You can link all these requests to one order and spread the order across various suppliers.
Safety stock
When managing your stock you can make use of the function ‘safety stock’. Using safety stock you can indicate the minimum number of items that should be in your stock. When a certain stock decreases to a number lower than the number determined in the safety stock, a reminder will be automatically generated in your to-do list announcing that stock should be brought back to standard.

Creating a new order is made even easier by the integration of Stock and order management into Configuration management. Company assets can be easily added to stock or linked to an order request.
The Stock and Order management module distinguishes between configuration items (items in the database) and bulk goods like stationery, mouses or printer cartridges. This way you can manage these items separately. The financial (ERP) process flows mainly show the accounting information – TOPdesk links this to the administrative process flow.
