Stock and Order management
Every organisation that keeps track of stock requires a structured overview of these stock and orders. It is also important to know who orders what and to where ordered items should be sent. All logistic processes can be recorded and tracked using the Stock and Order module.

Overview into your stock and orders
Stock and Order management enables you to acquire a good overview of stock and current orders. It is also made clear who has ordered which item and to where a particular item should be sent. In the role of operator you place orders and assign recently arrived items to the stock or assets.
Advantages
- Insight into current orders
- Manage the stock and safety stock
- Separate items database
- Easily include items in Configuration management
- Bookkeeping and administrative process flow information
Items and order requests
All assets are recorded in so-called Item cards. This forms the items database from which you select the relevant items. An order request can be submitted by every user in your organisation.
Using the Stock and Order management module, you can record which item needs
to be ordered and the desired delivery date. The item will be ordered from the supplier. You can track
current orders via your to-do list. You can then assign items that
arrive to the persons who have requested them.
Do you wish to include more than one item in an order? An order for the setup of a new
workstation can for instance consist of a desk, chair, computer and
monitor. These items can be linked to one request and then be ordered
from the relevant suppliers.
Safety stock
You can make use of so-called safety stock. This means that you have indicated the minimum number of stock that you wish to have at any one time in the Item card. When the number of stock falls below the safety stock indicated you will be reminded in your to-do list that the relevant stock needs to be ordered.

The Stock and Order management module is integrated with
Configuration management, therefore compiling a new order is made very
simple. Delivered assets can easily be added to the Configuration
database and stock can be traced in this module.
The Stock
and Order management module distinguishes between configuration items
(items from the database) and 'bulk goods' such as mouses, notepaper
and printer cartridges. As a result each item can be managed
individually. Financial (ERP) process flows are mostly taken up by
information regarding bookkeeping. TOPdesk now also links the
administrative process flow to this.
