TOPdesk opens office in Melbourne, Australia

TOPdesk has opened a new office in Melbourne, Australia. With this addition, we now have 15 offices in 11 countries, making us more international than ever.

“The decision to expand down under and open our first office in Melbourne is a logical step in our growth strategy”, says Wolter Smit, CEO of TOPdesk. “We see great opportunities in the Australian market. It’s a very dynamic region holding enormous potential due to the growing population, the growing number of businesses and the fast adaptation of new technologies.”

“Australian people are extremely friendly and service oriented”, adds the new Australian Branch Manager Marian den Ouden. “They hold the door open for you and say ‘sorry’, even if you bump into them. That’s the kind of mentality that has proven to mesh really well with our own. It seems a natural fit to open an office in Australia.”

24/7 support

With the Melbourne office, TOPdesk now has 15 hubs in 11 countries. Wolter: “Those are great numbers that help us show that our approach to better services works, but there’s something even more important. Because of our new office, we’ll soon be able to ‘follow the sun’ and provide global support to our customers whenever they need our help. We’re aiming at a 24/7 coverage, no matter where you live.”

Creating a growing hub

The new TOPdesk office in Melbourne is starting out with just 3 employees. “But we already have a number of desks that we’re looking to fill in the coming months”, says Marian. “The plan is to create a growing hub in Australia’s tech capital that offers our local customers the most effective service imaginable. We believe TOPdesk has a bright future here and a strong part to play in helping Australian organizations improve their service delivery and create an environment where employees can thrive.”
